Traveling by Bus
I remember going to travel with the family when I was much younger. We used to hop on a bus and take it down to Florida to vacation. Bus travel was always quite popular with the older generation because they didn’t have to drive themselves – they didn’t have to pay for gas and the travel accommodations were always part of the package. All you had to do was pay the bus line, get on and relax. You didn’t even have to decide where you would go eat – that was always arranged prior to leaving. It is no wonder that bus travel is one of, if not, the best ways to travel. It certainly is the easiest and still, pound for pound, the best way to go.
As far as bus travel goes there are only three real ways. The first is by city bus. You hop on and travel to a destination that is predetermined by the regular route schedule. This is the most atypical way that people who live in the city but do not drive get from one destination to another. It is inexpensive and quick. The other mode of bus travel would be by tour bus. This is how you can get a really cheap vacation and not worry about any travel agenda. There are companies that have fleets of busses that they use to take people like you and I on vacations all around the country. They make deals with travel agents and state boards of tourism to put together these fun packages that can last a day up to two or three weeks. The entire trip is all inclusive (minus souvenirs of course). The third way to travel by bus is state by state like using Greyhound. All you need is a schedule and a ticket and you can on your way to anywhere.
Many people enjoy a bus excursion. Every week you can take a new trip to someplace you may have never gone to before. You can take a bus trip to a baseball or football game, you can go garage saleing or to flea markets, rose gardens, Broadway shows and Disney World. Taking a bus for a trip is growing in popularity once again thanks to the high prices of gasoline. There really is no need to even reserve tickets. There are usually seats available without much waiting and you can even order them online these days. You can browse the tour company web site for anything that interests you then you simply select your destination and pay for the ticket. Show up and board and you will be on your way.
Instead of wasting your money on high priced airline tickets or gas for your car or spending a small fortune on hotel rooms try taking a bus tour instead. They are fast, inexpensive, safe, fun and allow you to try new things. You do not have to worry about anything on your trip except for food outside of the plan and any trinkets and souvenirs that you wish to pick up.
