You have finally decided to take a cruise trip to reward your hard earned holiday. But before you can chill out on the deck, relax in the Jacuzzi, and venture around different exotic ports, there are a few more things to be prepared. Although you can book direct with the cruise line but there are so many choices out there that you might not be aware what would be the most suitable one for you. Sometimes, even the port of aboard will affect the overall costs dramatically and it won’t hurt to take some advice regarding the itinerary. With the voucher at hand and days before boarding, you take out your suitcases and start to pack, but where to begin?

Then you will move on to pack your clothes and other accessories. You can divide the packing into three parts. The first being your undergarments, which is pretty straightforward. The second part will be for the attire while you’re on board. Bathing suits are must, as you want to take full advantage of the swimming pools on the deck. Usually casual wears like jeans, shorts and flip flops will be appropriate but if the cruise line is of a more luxurious kind, you are expected to attend black-tie dinners, performances or gambling in casino, you may need to pack evening gowns or one or two suits for these functions.
While there will be excursions along shores and ports, take a look at the list of destinations and pack accordingly. If you are heading to tropical or equatorial regions, first you need make sure whether there is any required vaccination to be administered. Besides appropriate outfits and footwear, accessories like hats and sunglasses, insect repellents, suntan lotion, after sun gel, and wet suits are indispensable. At the same time, if you are going to cold areas, you will have to pack warm clothing, scarves and gloves. The key is to keep yourselves comfortable all the time to enjoy the most of your trip.
