London Flights

London is a spectacular city and has many wonderful attractions. One of the great ways and an unusual way to see London is to hop on to a helicopter flight and see the beautiful sights of the old and historic London. As you start from the helicopter base look at the places that are very beautiful flying at usually 1500 ft, you get a vantage point view of all attractions below you.

There are plenty of vacation packages that are available and there are many companies that run charter flights. Many of the helicopters can accommodate up to 5 people excluding the pilot inside the helicopter. You can even enjoy special occasions such as an engagement inside these flights.

Canary Wharf Tower
Look at the Canary Wharf Tower as it’s more popularly known as. It’s located in London’s second financial district, though its actual name is One Canada Square. Built in 1991, it’s the world’s first skyscraper that was fully clad in stainless steel. It reaches 800 ft. up in the air and its flashing pinnacle is visible from miles away. Especially from the sky, it looks shimmering.

The Millennium Dome
The Millennium Dome or O2 as it’s now known is a major tourist attraction. The dome with its shining pillars can be seen from far away. It’s a major centre for concerts and sports events. It can seat 20,000 people at one time. If you are looking for a more intimate evening to spend, then go for the 2350 seater Indigo2. The biggest screen in London is here and there are 11 screens which show movies. Check for the timings.

Tower Bridge of London
You just can’t miss the tower bridge of London. It has stood on River Thames since 1894 and looks grand. Glide over the Tower Bridge while you go up and down the river. There are 4 unique venues if you wish to host an event. Its one of the most recognizable bridges in the world.

HMS Belfast
This is a floating museum that has been moored on River Thames. It played a pivotal role in the Second World War and in the Normandy landings. It shows a part of the unique naval history of Britain. More than 6 million visitors have come aboard. It still looks splendid and regal from the air as it did in it’s hey days.

The London Eye
At 135 m, it’s the world’s largest cantilevered observation wheel and has won awards for national and international tourism. Since its opening in 2000, it has welcomed 27 million tourists from around the world. Even during the nights, the centre of attraction is clearly visible and looks splendid against its own lighting. Cruise overhead and enjoy this piece of perfection.

Houses of Parliament and the Buckingham Palace
One of the most visited places in London, the houses of parliament and Buckingham Palace is s top over for most tourist. Look how splendid it looks from the sky.

There are an incredible number of cheap flights that operate in London. On a clear day, you can see and look at many of the sights. If you are short on time and don’t want to be stuck in traffic, then this is the way to go. There are many interesting things that you may see, that you may have not noticed on ground.
