Hot and Cold Locations

If you want to know more about the old continent, Europe, here are four exciting holiday destinations.

Florence, Italy

Florence, the capital of the Tuscany region, is a city with approximately 1 million inhabitants, between the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian seas, in the middle of the Italian peninsula. Founded by the Romans in the first century of our era, Florence is a commercial, economic, tourist and cultural region. The architecture, its numerous museums or art galleries, shopping centres, and the environmental beauty make this town one of the most interesting destinations of Italy.

Munich, Germany

If Oktoberfest is not known to you then let us say otherwise: one of the most important and traditional festivals of Germany will gather in Munich, between September 20 and October 5, over 6 million tourists. The event, promoted at the international level is not, according to the organisers “just a beer festival, but a national holiday that will have impact on the entire city. It is estimated that at this edition there will be consumed a record amount of beer – more than 6 million litres. The festival will begin with a parade, followed by concerts and street events. One thing is certain – if you have the opportunity to get to Munich … do not miss it.

Reykjavik, Iceland

It is the most northern capital city of the world and which annually receives more tourists than its population. The capital of Iceland leaves you without words. It is not exotic, but certainly fascinating. “Another world”, say those who were fortunate enough to make a bath in the thermal waters of the Blue Lagoon or walk along the streets which are crowded by houses apparently made of gingerbread. The city surrounded by geysers and volcanoes is like part of a land of elves, leprechauns and closet dwarfs. Locals say that the summer ends on a Wednesday, and the sun is hiding for six months in an empty chest in a small house. In Reykjavik there are no social classes and the government has problems with the thermal water-cooling for the heating of the city. Therefore a holiday 100% different from what you have lived so far cannot be but here.

Murcia, Spain

Lying between two highly promoted Coasts, from the tourists’ point of view (Blanca and Del Sol) Murcia City is the seat of the autonomous region with the same name. Less familiar to tourists, Murcia is a city that has an old area, built by Arabs and some cathedrals built in a pure baroque style. Still not the beauty of this city is the strength of this destination, but the surroundings. So, if you get here, make a trip to south-east, to the National Park Sierra de Espana and to the historic cities of Lorca and Vella Blanco. Or, better, go to the sea – go immediately past the Mazarron Bay where awaits the Aguilas splendid beaches, which have not been totally discovered by international mass tourists. And because temperatures for September to October are on average 20 degrees, do not worry about the possibility of beach and bath.
