Travel Incentives

If you are running a business and are looking for ways to get more customers, you may want to think about travel incentives. Travel incentives encourage and motivate employee and customer behavior. The use of travel incentives to motivate, attract, appreciate, convert and keep customers is good logical business sense. Cash may be “king”, but there are studies that have stated that if a business offers cash discounts eventually this discounted price becomes the expected price. For example, no one pays the whole price of a car because it is common knowledge that the sticker price on a car is always negotiable. Also, savvy shoppers know that if they see a dress or suit they like, all they need to do is wait a few months and the garment will most likely go on sale. Similarly over time employees will come to think of their employee bonus as an assumed part of their paycheck. So that is the argument of travel incentives. This is a more effective way to motivate employees and customers and it doesn’t dip into business profits. Travel incentives are great for businesses and hotels. On many nights, hotels will have thirty percent of their rooms empty. This is lost profit that the hotel cannot recover. Hotels typically want their hotels to be full. Therefore they will slash their room rates so that more people will come and stay at their hotel. If a family takes advantage of a travel incentive, the family will inevitably spend money at the hotel shops and restaurants. They may even extend their stay. Also if the family enjoyed their stay at the hotel, they will tell their friends and family members so this is free advertising for the hotel. Also your business will get credit for sending them on the enjoyable vacation. If you do the math, a business owner can benefit greatly from travel incentives. For what it cost to treat two individuals to lunch, by using travel incentives, you can send those same two people on a three day and two night vacation to any destination you choose. Also, for what it cost to treat two people to dinner, by using a travel incentive you can send them on a five day and four night vacation that may include a location such as St. Thomas, Hawaii and Florida. If a business owner considers what it may currently cost to convert, attract, motivate, appreciate and retain employees and customers, travel incentives may very well be worth the investment. Consider whether bonuses or other incentives will have the same effect on your customer or employee as if they were told they were going on vacation. Using travel incentives to send them on vacation is memorable to them because they bring along their families, have fun and take a lot of pictures. So if you are responsible for sending them on a memorable vacation, they will remember you and your business. It is good business sense for a business manager or business owner to use travel incentives for their next incentive program for their employees or for their next promotion for their customers
