First, the success or the failure of your travel depends on weather conditions. Nice weather can have positive impact upon you holidays, whereas, bad weather can ruin it. Therefore, you have to plan where you will spend each month in order to avoid hurricanes, monsoons, or any other difficult weather conditions!

Secondly, you can enjoy your travel only if you are healthy. At least six weeks before your departure, ask your doctor or a health center specializing in travel what the necessary vaccines and treatments are. In addition, do not forget to take adequate travel insurance.

To continue with, when you travel to another country you may feel the culture shock. The unwritten rule of any journey is to respect the culture of the country we visit. This is often obvious (wearing of mini-shorts and sleeveless T-shirts does not go hand in hand with churches, temples, or mosques). Trying to know some basic words in the language of each country visited can also help. You will see that local people will really appreciate it and you may have in this case more advantages. At least, you will not get lost, in an unknown place.

Furthermore, travel is always associated with common sense. You can be sometimes so preoccupied by your adventure that you do not even think of risky situations. Think big! If you would not do something at home, do not do it when you are on a trip! For example, if you want to climb a high and dangerous mountain, do not do it without getting information from experts in the area. They can provide it to you in different international languages.

You should as well avoid getting to a place by night. Try to arrive to a new destination by day. The advantage is that you can identify more easily places, such as banks and ticket offices are more likely to be opened. Besides, anybody can feel safer in a new location if he or she travels and get there by day.

Obviously, you need to go to a hotel at the end of your journey. It is highly recommended to book your bed in advance. If you travel during the holidays, it is advisable to book your accommodation in advance. Moreover, it is very easy to do it now, as long as you can find tons of online companies ready to help you with your reservation so you can book in advance any destination.

It is a good suggestion as well to ask local people about the country you are going to visit. Your national institutions like a foreign affairs department should be able to advise you on matters of security features, restrictions, visa requirements, etc.

Last, but not least, before leaving, go to a travel shop to purchase a few commodities such as guides, travel insurance and a phone card. If you have everything in this list you can travel without the slightest stress and you can as well enjoy your trip.
