Uncommon Destinations
While all the tourists are going to destinations known as “hot,” we find below those places where we go just to relax and feel great.
Here can be found destinations around the world, better known by locals and generally avoided the normal tourists, looking for some uneasiness. For example, most Americans have heard of Lake Tahoe (Vail) as a recreational area, but tourists from other countries do not know anything about it.
So let us see which are equivalent to the Vail (Colorado) in other countries. Where Japanese or Finnish spend their weekends and relax if they want to remain in their country?
Hanko, Finland
Many people associate cold Finland with vodka and tundra. Shame on them we can add. This beautiful country, with water flowing, and peaks and over 60,000 lakes, is a paradise for those who seek refuge in a rush of their busy city. The Hanko is the southernmost point, a peninsula with many gulfs and islands, the tourists loved one.
Go to navigate in the Eastern Port, and then go to relax at the resort. You can enjoy cruises of the entire area, one of them having even route around a huge colony of seals.
What should not be missed: the Straits Pike located between two islands and used as shelter for the old anglers. The stones here are covered with names and emblems of these sailors.
Sounkyo, Japan
This quiet town, situated in a valley, is popular for hot springs, its waterfalls and climbing routes. A cable will go up on Mount Taisetsu where you will feel the familiar wonderful view of both winter and summer. If you choose to go here in winter, you will have excellent skiing conditions. In summer, you can admire the falls Sounkyo Gorge, waterfall whose water appears to come from the clouds above the mountain.
If you still want a little cooler air during the hot summer, the Ice Pavilion is exactly what you need. This is a massive glacier where you can find everything like tables, cafes, stores, all made of ice.
What should not be missed: If you go there in February or March, do not miss the Cascade Festival of Ice, where ice and snow schools are bathing in wonderful colors.
Punta del Este, Uruguay
As coming out of the Pacific waters, Punta Del Este city becomes a summer of fun for people of Uruguay and Argentina (have you ever heard how beautiful women are there?). Only here you will find beautiful beaches and cabins that offer sport-fishing expeditions. Avenida Gorlero the largest boulevard in the area has excellent shops and restaurants where you can taste the delicious South American cuisine. For film lovers, Punta Del Este has even its own European Film Festival, held in January.
At night, the Conrad Casino offers about everything you could want in terms of entertainment nightly. Pubs on the area are always open. You can go anywhere and ask about the South American beauties there.
What should not be missed: To escape the crowded beaches, go to Arroyo Maldonado, a going in golf, where the sand is fine and you have more privacy.
