The Tasmania is located at Australia and it is situated 240km south of the Eastern part of the mainland. The Island has a total area of 62409 square kilometers. The Tasmania Island is an island I beauty and diversity when it comes to nature.

The Port Arthur was used before as a penal colony and this is one of a must see tourist destination within the island. You will see some old buildings that have been preserved and open for the public to explore and see. The best way to get out of the Port is by riding a car or a campervan.
The capital of Tasmania is the Hobart and this capital of Tasmania is very historical. Yu can discover the place by just walking within the harbor and visiting Salamanca. If you will visit the place during Saturdays you will see one of the best markets in Australia. There is a Hobart Yacht Race right through the Constitution Dock near the Salamanca during the month of December.
Because the entire Tasmania Island is a very small place, it is impossible for you to stay in just one spot during your day trip. There are so many natural beautiful sites that you can visit within the day. Some attractions that you can see are Cradle Mountain with Dove Lake, Wineglass Bay, Freycenet National Park, and Stanley with its unique volcano rock foundation also known as the Nut are just a few.
Attractions within the island are unexplainably fun and unforgettable. Even if you stay for days, you will surely not experience everything you need to do within the Island. You need to schedule a second visit to make the most out of the island.
