Call their current clients and ask them various questions about the travel agency. Ask the client such things as what were some of the biggest problems they had with the travel agency and how did the problems get resolved. Try to find out how good the agency can be and how bad it can potentially be. Be sure to ask co-workers, friends and family for travel agencies that they recommend. You may also want to make a phone call to the Better Business Bureau. When you are searching for a travel agency, be sure to address basic service issues. Find out what hours the company is open and how many days a week. Find out if the agency has an 800 number. This could come in handy if you are traveling and need to contact them for some reason. Find out if the travel agents that work there each have their own phone extension, voicemail and e-mail address. Voicemail will make it convenient for you to contact them and leave a message at different times of the day. It is also important to find out if members of the staff have reliable e-mail so you know that if you send them an e-mail message they will get it quickly. Research various travel agencies so you can have a reliable partner to help you with your traveling needs.
